SPot Farm North - RJ and AE Godfrey, Brigg, North Lincolnshire

 RJ and AE Godfrey is a mixed arable farm in North Lincolnshire.

The farm grows around 440 ha of main-crop potatoes for the packing market each year, in a rotation including peas, sugar beet, wheat, oilseed rape and linseed. It spans the Lincolnshire/Yorkshire border and includes two soil types, a sandy loam on the Lincolnshire Wolds and silts on the Isle of Axholme.

  • Residual herbicides trial (fully replicated trial)
  • Irrigation methods – taking into account financial and marketable yield (demonstration)
  • Organic matter (demonstration)
  • Desiccation – ag. chem and mechanical (two fully replicated trials)
  • Dormancy and MH (fully replicated trial)
