Season preview

As we enter the last season of Elveden farms being the Strategic potato farm for the east, we are revisiting some of the work undertaken in 2016 around PCN, particularly tolerance and resistance. Graham Tomalin of VCS will be continuing his work from last year and will be introducing new varieties into the herbicide trial where he is investigating varietal interactions with residual and contact herbicide options. Dr Mark Stalham of NIAB CUF will looking in to the effects of Nitrogen and black dot, AHDB’s rotations project and his research on sulphur.
