Trade remained slow and steady in most markets this week with little change. Rain across the UK has continued to cause issues for most regions, with planting and field work once again being hindered.

  • While there was a slight increase in Maris Piper trade due to Easter promotions, little else changed in the English packing market this week.
  • There was strong demand for good quality Maris Piper in Scotland this week, although sourcing good quality samples was reportedly difficult. Meanwhile trade in packing whites remained slow, with no reported increase in demand.
  • Trade was reported as slow and steady this week with limited movement.
