Kim has over 20 years’ experience of the UK horticulture industry. With a PhD in plant pathology, Kim worked for ADAS from 2000 doing applied research on crop diseases, with a focus on field vegetables and protected edibles, before joining AHDB in 2016 as a research manager and crop protection scientist.

Now a member of the AHDB pesticide regulatory team, Kim has responsibility for finding crop protection solutions for field vegetables, leafy salads and herbs. This typically involves applications to CRD for EAMU and emergency applications, as well as managing trials to ensure data (residues, efficacy, crop safety), are available to support these applications. This is a collaborative process involving liaison with industry, agro-chemical companies, researchers and regulatory bodies.
